Our Values

Two men out for a walk in the nice weather, both are wearing sunglasses, but only one is wearing a crown

Take ownership

To make progress and change happen, you need to take ownership. Everyone at Data Talks is responsible, not just for their specific area, but for the overall success of the company.

Three men grouphugging each other

Fail fast

We know that failing is part of building a successful business. We encourage our employees to fail fast, learn from the experience (share it with the team) and then excel due to it. Our motto is that we always either win or learn.

A group of people having a discussion, one is standing and two are sitting behind a desk

Stay collaborative

Our success lies in having a dream team. We don’t compete with each other (unless it’s table tennis). Instead, we collaborate and help each other to succeed.

Be fearless

A relaxed mind is a creative mind. Biologically, when you feel stressed or pressured, you shut down capabilities such as creativity, empathy, and problem-solving skills. That’s why we encourage our employees to take responsibility for their well-being and to be fearless (meaning: to be in a state with less fear). That way, we can work smarter, not harder to achieve great results.

Focus on results

We focus on delivering results in everything we do. The ideal result is helping our customers to create an outstanding customer experience and better business (while enjoying the journey).

Be respectful

Kindness and respect lie at the very core of how we treat each other. This becomes even more important since we are a diversified team with different personalities (the way we like it). We want everyone to feel appreciated and made aware that their talent and effort are needed for us to be as successful as possible.

Here at Data Talks, we like to think of ourselves as a sports club

In our club, teamwork isn’t just a concept; it’s the very essence of who we are. Just like a thriving team, our success hinges on collaboration and synergy. That’s why we champion teamwork, recognizing that every voice counts, whether you’re in the heart of the action or strategizing from the sidelines.

Similar to how coaches enable their players to excel, we believe in empowerment. We encourage each member to take ownership of their role, make decisions, and lead with confidence. Like a coach nurturing talent, we inspire and support one another to reach our full potential.

In our team, it is not just about winning games; it’s about winning hearts with authenticity. This is woven into every interaction reflecting honesty and sincere care for each other and our customers. Just as fans appreciate the authenticity of their favorite clubs, we strive to be genuine in everything we do.

Like any high-performing club, we always strive to raise our performance. We’re deeply committed to building momentum – in ourselves as a team and with our customers. This means growing as individuals, both personally and professionally – while together making steady progress towards our ambitious goals. That’s where momentum happens.

With Teamwork, Empowerment, Authenticity, and Momentum as our core pillars, we’re not just a TEAM – we’re a force to be reckoned with. Together, we continue to soar to new heights and achieve greatness in what we do. For us, these values aren’t just words on paper; they’re the playbook that guides us to victory, every time.

Alba Pardo

Alba Pardo is an action sports media specialist, storyteller, feminist, and adventure mama with over 15 years of experience in content production and sports marketing in both media and brands.

After finalizing her journalism studies she became an internationally published photographer and writer and founded the Spanish Snowboard Magazine SBES MAG in 2012. She has been part of the Women in Boardsports association since 2009 and has led it since 2014 to further rebrand and found the new Women in Action Sports Network in 2021, which is devoted to creating space for professional women in the action sports industry to grow and thrive. Alba has extensive experience in action sports events, having directed the Dirt Jump “Happy Ride Weekend” in the well-known La Poma Bikepark in Barcelona, Spain, and is currently the media production manager of the O Marisquiño festival in Vigo, Spain.

Alba continues to consult and create content strategies for sports industry clients in Europe, the US, and Australia. Representing and advocating for women professionals and athletes has been a big part of Alba’s career and passion for the last 12+ years and through Women in Action Sports Network she is committed to ensuring that women continue to have a place of reunion, inspiration, and connection.

Andreas Cüppers

Andreas Cüppers has extensive experience in the sports industry and has been working as Head of Consulting at the Hamburg-based agency Sweep, which advises sports rights holders on content marketing and provides operational support, since the fall of 2022. After completing his master’s degree in social sciences and a journalism apprenticeship at a major German daily newspaper, he worked as an editor for several years. But since his passion has always been sports, he didn’t have to hesitate for a second when he joined the communications department of Borussia Mönchengladbach, a traditional Bundesliga football team, in 2012. There, he spent many years building up and expanding digital communications via website, app and, above all, social media. In 2018, he took over responsibility for the club’s digital transformation and all innovation topics. In this role, he and his team drove forward the implementation of modern software solutions for a better fan experience and the optimization of internal processes, among other things. Data management was a central component of the digital strategy. In the fall of 2022, he left football after more than ten years and, in his new role at the agency, will be devoting himself primarily to clubs in the North American professional football league NFL.
